We are a group of photographic enthusiasts dedicated to promotion of photography through displays, competitions, critiques and education. We welcome photographers of all experience levels. Our group meets at 8 PM, generally on the first two Thursdays of the month, September through May in Room 107/108 at Saint Matthew's United Methodist Church, 30900 Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI. For exact dates of our meeting, please see our current schedule located here . Meeting Format The first Thursday features digital projection competitions; Open, Assignment, Color Creative and Nature. Each image is judged by a panel and is awarded points for content, composition and technical accomplishment. In addition there is a critique to point out to the photographer the strong points of the entry and also what might have been done to improve it. The second Thursday of the month features print photographs. These prints compete in Open and Assignment categories and are divided into two print mediums, Monochrome (Black and White) and Color. Judging and commentary are provided as in the digital competition. On occasion at our second Thursday of the month meeting a presentation is presented to the club in various area of photography. Dues Our annual dues are $40 a year for individuals and $60 for families. For those new members that join later in our calendar year, the prorated dues are $27 for individual and $40 for family when joining after December 1st and $14 for individual and $20 for family when joining after March 1st. Dues are payable either by cash or check to the club treasurer. The club does not have the ability to accept credit card payment.
